Last Clunk - CF18760 - Its Final Days

pwc_cf100c.jpg

In 1967, Pratt & Whitney Canada (PWC) requested loan of a CF100 Mk 5 from the Canadian government, with the a/c to be used as a test-bed for the company's JT15D small turbofan engine.  The a/c chosen, 18760 wore 410 & 414 colours before being turned over to PWC.  A 15-yr test-bed career ended on 28 June 1982.  The a/c was then pedestal-mounted in 425 Sqn colours at ex-RCAF Stn/CFB St-Hubert, Québec, across from the former Guard House!
